Cold laser treatment has been approved by the FDA for decreasing pain and inflammation. It’s called "cold" because it doesn’t produce heat like the lasers used for eye surgery or hair removal.  So there is no chance of burning.  We use a laser with 635 nm wavelength and 5 milliwatts of power as shown in the research to maximize results for pain and inflammation.
